I can listen when someone needs to talk; I can talk when someone wants to listen. I’m a school teacher with diverse interests. I teach science but also philosophy, Spanish & Japanese, as well as basketball. But I wasn’t always a teacher and had a life living overseas and doing other jobs. I like variety and would like to meet someone who has that willingness to try new things and explore ideas as well as places and activities. I am quite active, both physically and intellectually. Exercise, sport, travel, reading, exploring ideas & culture…are all important to me. I would love someone who can share in these things in some way, and who is interested in being fit, healthy and active. I enjoy time in nature, by the beach, as well in the mountains and forests, while also wanting to be lazy on the couch watching a good movie. Its all about balance. I’m very interested in the spiritual, metaphysical and psychological side of life, though I wouldn’t expect that of my partner. I think intimate relationships are probably one of the best ways of exploring this rich world. And this exploration must be light and playful as well as deep and serious at times. I think I am a mix of traditional and modern values, hopefully both based in wisdom and respect. I would love a woman who has a career and causes she is passionate about, yet at the same time show her strength and character in a very feminine way. I am still open to having kids – I know I would be a good father, having had excellent role models in my parents and older siblings. For me, any healthy family begins with a healthy relationship between parents, from which children learn and grow. However, for me it all depends on the woman – the mother is fundamental. And if the right woman doesn’t want to have children, that’s great too. We’ll create a rich, full, meaningful life together in our preferred way, investing our energy in other projects. Family is important to me, and as my family would definitely embrace you, I would hope to meet someone whose family would welcome me, and whose culture would enrich my world.
