Hi there. I am a easy going American man in search of a nice partner for friendship, romance, and hopefully marriage. I am originally from Chicago (born and raised) but I have moved around a bit (Cleveland, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Baltimore and now New York City). I am of Italian, Irish, and German origin. I enjoy reading, long conversations, hiking, canoeing, visiting museums, camping, baseball, and dancing (well I try). I am from a family of 6 kids (3 boys/3 girls) and I have 14 nieces and nephews (my sisters are fertile!) so I am used to a lot of commotion... but maybe I am a little needy for attention too ;-) I am quite curious and have a wide range of interests (history, linguistics, anthropology, religion) outside of work (I can thank my Dad for that as he worked for the local Chicago newspaper). I like to think I have a good work ethic (I was a great busboy, an adequate waiter, pretty good at plowing snow, and a solid tree cutter). I paid for my own education. I come from a solidly Catholic, middle-class, loving family. I have pretty much accomplished everything career wise finally realizing that you can never get caught up with work without sacrificing one's personal life (which I am guilty of). I was in school for a while (BA JD MBA) and then moved around while I paid my student loans off (which took some time) and then eventually got lost in work (I work in trade finance). I am here to try and remedy that. Some say I am a pretty good communicator (must be the 1/4 Irish) and I am endlessly curious (maybe to a fault). I am pretty simple in my pleasures: sometimes after work I will go watch the baseball game at the local pub along with 2-3 beers and a dozen chicken wings. I am willing to try the balut as well...if I meet the right person ;-) My hair is going grey (but at least I still have a full head of hair :-)
